About Me
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area was a magical experience. Not only was I surrounded by so much natural beauty, but being the film buff that I am, I was surrounded by major Visual Effects studios that fueled my passion. Tippet Studios, Kerner Optical turning into ILM, Pixar Animation Studios, The Orphanage, Dreamworks, and many others back then.
But it was after seeing how the practical visual effects and the prop teams built the environment model for the mountain and robotic helicopter in the final scene of Cliffhanger that snagged me. After going to Mills College for my Bachelors of Fine Art undergrad, I attended Ex'pression College for Digital Arts and received my Bachelors of Applied Science degree in Animation and Visual Effects.
After school I worked in the film industry, doing various jobs on several films, even getting to fulfill a childhood dream of working at Pixar as a contract Production Assistant on 4 major motion picture productions.
Due to family caretaker obligations, I couldn't follow that passion to LA, so I needed to figure out of how I could translate this knowledge and passion into a different career. I knew I still wanted to tell stories and make films, and the closest thing I found was the games industry. The rest is history...
